How to deactivate a user in Zoho One

Why deactivate a user?

A user is often deactivated when someone leaves your business or is no longer working with you. By doing this you retain all of their information but free up a user licence. The user can be reactivated at any time in the future.

How do deactivate a user in Zoho One

You must be a Zoho One Administrator to perform this action.
  1. Open https://one.zoho.eu (or you local Zoho One account if outside the EU).
  2. Click the Directory icon in the top-right of the screen.
    Note: If you screen looks different, you may be using the old Zoho One user experience. In that case the Zoho Directory icon is in the bottom left of the screen.
  3. In the Directory Settings, click Users on the left-hand side.
  4. Hover over the user you want to deactivate, click the 3 dots icon, then click Deactivate.
  5. Choose Deactivate on the pop-up which appears after, this will be followed by a confirmation message.
